This lack of understanding may hinder patients' ability to make informed decisions about their health. According to a recent study published in the reputable International Collegiate Journal of Science, over 88 percent of individuals seeking medical care possess limited health literacy, highlighting a significant gap in patient comprehension. In response to this issue, a new practical tool has been developed: the Pocket Patient Advocate (PPA) app. This application aims to assist users in navigating medical language, procedures, and terminologies more effectively.
